Biography of Author Lin Conklin
Author Lin Conklin has come a long way from the small town in upstate New York where she was born. She earned a BS in Engineering and moved to California to start her 23-year career in the corporate world. Her job eventually brought her to Arizona where she currently resides. After leaving her corporate job in 2005, Lin has concentrated on coaching, teaching sword arts, writing, and publishing. Lin Conklin spends most of her time working with Amethyst Moon Publishing's authors.
Lin has spent her life studying with masters in diverse arts. Ms. Conklin's extensive background includes being a single parent, succeeding in the corporate world, studying awareness and outdoor skills, conducting seminars for sword instructors and students, acting as vice president on a school board, sitting on the Board of Directors for the United States Chanbara Association (USCA), teaching, life/career coaching, helping people transition with serious illnesses (Parkinson's, cancer, dementia), co-authoring instruction manuals for martial artists, writing as a columnist for several magazines, authoring international newsletters, and running her own businesses.
Lin Conklin holds a 4th degree Black Belt in the Choken Long Sword and Black Belts in the sword arts of Kendo and Toyama, is a USCA certified instructor in Chanbara, actively studies Iaido and Tameshigiri, and has been teaching sword arts for several years. When teaching the sword or working with a client as a coach, Lin uses her intuitive skills along with her knowledge of numerology and handwriting analysis to help clients see hidden aspects of their lives. The unique knowledge she gained from teachings on awareness and outdoor skills gives her an edge in her ability to observe the habits and patterns that block her clients from living their dreams, reaching their goals, or achieving their life's purpose.
Currently Lin authors the Amethyst Moon Publishing newsletter, which is aptly titled One Choice Can Change a LifeTM since it addresses topics Ms. Conklin is passionate about: belief, choice, and ways to make positive changes in your life. Lin Conklin has published three books: Choices in the Great Circle, The Impact of Belief: Learning to Take Control of Your Life, and The Power of Choice: Creating the Life You Want.
